Lovers dance when they're feeling in love.

Today I watched the rain hit the pavement

and dance like lovers.

 

It made me think

 

this is the dance we'll never have;

these are the secrets we'll never share;

this is a night that can be yours

and it can be mine,

but it will never be ours.

 

But if you'd like,

We can talk about old times

and you can tell me about your family
