The Truth

The Truth

A Poem by t.m.

Will you still remember me when twenty years have passed and we've long since stopped speaking to one another?

Will you think back to everything we've been through and remember it fondly? Or will you hate me for what I've done to you, to us?

I just don't want to be here anymore.

To have my heart broken time and time again, by something I never had.

I can't help it. I will apologize a thousand times over, but I know it won't change anything.

Every time that I write, I hear lyrics from songs that describe how I feel so well, and that's all I want to write.

Those lyrics, over and over again until my fingers are cramped and I have to force myself to take a break.

They fit perfectly.

This is a mess, just like me.

Just like my thoughts.

Just like everything.

(It doesn't matter, though, does it? Not when you think about the Grand Scheme of things.)

((There is no Grand Scheme, though. Not really.))

Author's Note

t.m.
Wow, so, this is a mess of a post *as I stated in the post.* I guess I'm back. I feel the need to write more again, so hopefully I'll be getting more posted soon. (And hopefully it's better than this was.)

:: oh... this reminds me of the time when i was such a royal mess that i thought my life would never make sense to me again... and it was just so confusing to live through that time... that i wonder how i made it to now... i hope you're ready to be very, very patient... because if you are, then good things await you... some people don't go through this messy phase early in life... it arrives when they are least expecting it and it injures them really, really badly... but those of us who go through the messy phase early in life, don't go down later... it hurts a lot because we're young... but the future becomes clean...
