Colours

Colours

A Poem by t.m.

I see the sky in your eyes and the grass tangled in your hair as we're laughing and I think of the day we stood in the hallway outside my door.

Our embrace made the air around us heavy with our thoughts.

The words slipped past my lips before I could stop them.

"We could be perfect."

I felt your smile and the way your hands held mine.

"What about us would be perfect?"

I didn't even have to think when I answered your question.

"Everything."

It was like that word was invented for that question. For us.

Okay, what even is this? This spiralled so quickly. Sorry if it sucks.

:: absolutely gorgeous poetry... i just loved the way the scene unraveled... superbly narrated... :: i think the one with whom we feel these moments the maximum number of times in a short span of time is the one... :: sometimes we experience such moments with people with whom we don't experience them over and over again... but sometimes we find the one with whom we experience this magic repeatedly... it's mesmerizing when that happens... :)
