AnchorA Poem by t.m.Take me away, I pleaded. You saw into my dreams, into me. Your smile lifted me from reality. Where do we stand with the world?
This was the newest thing, the home and family. I could see myself getting used to the feeling. You picked me up and I stood on my feet again. As I stumbled, you held my hand and gave me the will to go on.
In the form of a smile, a laugh, I loved it all. I love it all. Took my breath away, I was drowning.
Opened my lungs and let the water consume all that we were, All that we are. A god amongst the rest, you could never fail.
