I love you

You finally open your eyes to the brightness and warmth of the sun and see them standing on the  

other side of the field. 

They smile at you and you can hear their gentle laugh from the distance. 

For a moment it seems that the world has stopped. You stare at each other for a felt eternity. 

You remind yourself to breathe again and return the smile. 

Then your body acts on its own, you are having no control over it anymore. You start running through  

the field letting your hands glide through the flowers. Your eyes started filling with tears as your  

body felt a longing to touch theirs to embrace them and kiss them and for a moment all your problems  

would disappear. You start to slow down and eventually come to a stop right before them.  

You want to say something, but nothing comes out of your mouth. “Why did you leave?” they  

asked with their hand reaching out to you. 

“I- I don´t know anymore” “Are you going to stay?” “Yes- I promise this time I´ll stay with you.” 

They step forward and hug you. You breath in still sobbing, they smell like dandelions and cookies, like  

Home. “You know I was waiting for you right?” “I love you. Even though you still are a big idiot.” “I  

know. I love you too...”  “Let´s go.” Let´s go home. You laugh.

Oh, my gosh! I love, love loved this! This was so wholesome and sweet and beautifully written. I also adore how it's up to the interpretation of who it is, that's a brilliant touch. The feeling of everything is so relatable, it's as if I'm really seeing myself do it. Also, how are you so smart you know EXACTLY how a home smells? Dandelion and cookies are pretty accurate. The playfulness in it is also wonderful and fun. Thank you so much for sharing!
