Wait Until I Dream

Wait Until I Dream

A Poem by theLotusFlwr

i like to see him laughing,

sometimes i think his smile

is just for me..

that the coldest winters would

lose their bite, do they?,

because his eyes turn my way..

and his heart beats only for me.

my dreams have a sudden flair,

but they are lies wrapped sweetly

like sugar candy coated

drops of happiness i scare

away when i open my eyes.

he does not lie to me, i know...

i do it myself so i can smile.

awake brings the true nature

of my sight, the sky, the sky

it has no color..

a void i failed to escape that

has no pit, nor air and i..

i suffocate while falling, how

dead am i when i am awake...

my last breath is stolen-

sucked away and my lungs

collapse...i am free...

my eyes flutter before giving

in to that endless stare...

and once again, i am weightless

as i dream of him smiling at me.
