Hiding

Hiding

A Poem by TheLostAngel

So close to touch
So far to feel
Your eyes betray your secrets
As your mouth tries to hide them

I saw you look away
I could feel your pain
You spoke no words
Told of no feeling

The road lied in front of you
You glimpsed into each direction
You ran
Without hesitation

Bumps and bruises proved to be nothing
Compared to the mangled thing
Hiding away
In the depths of your chest

You recited a smile
It's funny how you fooled them all
One lie repeated over and over;
I'm fine...

I see you, my reflection
A weary soul in chains
You stand there, hoping, waiting
Just to see a better tomorrow

I'm just me. Unique and friendly, yet quiet and dark. I value honesty and believe every person should be who they are. If someone doesn't like me, that's their problem. Because I am me and proud of it.. more..
