Riddle Me This.

Riddle Me This.

A Poem by TheLonelyWriter
"

All I want to know is why.

"
Riddle me this.
Why is it that I am your
Shoulder to cry on,
Hands that push you forward,
Legs to walk on,
But she's your better half?

Riddle me this.
Why am I the one who
Wipes away your tears;
The tears she puts in your eyes,
While I push back my own,
But she's called the reason you smile?

Riddle me this.
Why am I the one who
Checks up on you,
Makes sure everything is okay,
And knows when it isn't,
But she's the one who "Takes care of you"?

Riddle me this.
Why do I have to be the one
To stay up all night,
Talking you through everything,
While she sleeps soundly,
But she's the one you go to bed thinking about.

Riddle me this.
Why do I have to be the one
To be okay, to get over everything,
To be move on with my life, after you stole my heart,
After you asked me out, then said yes to her,
But yet she's called the strong one?

This doesn't rhyme, but when I made it rhyme perfectly, it wasn't the poem I wrote. So this is my poem, and any feedback you have is appreciated. I hope you guys like it, and with the life of me, I hope you guys can't relate.

~ You speak of someone who is without a doubt unappreciated and overlooked. Period. There's no need to rhyme here as the message you're sending is clear. In a relationship like this that is so clear-cut, there is only one alternative--a hasty exit. ~
