 Locker Room Debate

I've pensively watched the presidential 
debate and what my other fellow eagles 
have been vehemently clamoring about.

I envisaged to see the indomitable spirit 
of former US president Ronald Reagan 
soaring mighty high in one's invoked speech 
that brought down the Iron Curtain 
and toppled the Berlin Wall.

I expected to hear the dichotomy 
of our founding Father's ideals, 
affirmed in their visions for America, 
as a whole, under God, along our borders, 
and beyond.

I anticipated to know that our notoriety as a 
cohesive nation and world police to defend 
our freedom against any threat; foreign or
domestic will be upholded in their foreign 
policy campaign.

Instead, I was flabbergasted, 
at the decadence of political dialog 
transpired between two aspiring candidates 
and would be prominent leader 
of a powerful and influential nation,

Which had been outrageously reduced 
or worst, to a mere putrescent 
Jerry Springer Show...
