BOW AND ARROW

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it back.

Bow and Arrow

My

whole

being quiver

with energetic

pulse surging with

anticipation

As I held

my breath.

To see how

far you will go

as you outrun

the mercurial

wind.

I stretch

my arm

further than

it should be

to give you

leverage the 

momentum  

the means

to reach

your goal.

I bend

my back

to brace your

brooding wings

to give

you stability

and overcome

the gravity

that held you

forever down.

My string hums

with songs

of faith  

to every strain  

place upon

my spine

Trusting in the

strength and aim

of His mighty

sovereign hand.

And watch you

propel     fiercely

towards         the dark

gray                          sky.
