You Left and Never Said Goodbye

 

 

Ode To Eva Rosehill

As I pondered about

your sweet and kind reply.
It brought tears and smile

to my little sparrow's eyes.

O what a noble heart you have,
you gave a brand new song,
to my sparrow's lonely
and despairing heart .
Yes, my sparrow would like to try,
to reach again into the sky, 
but for just a little while.

Though your lovely sparrow has,

a tender loving heart,
it is not just meant to fly.
For it will one day soar with the eagles,

and dare to claim the skies.
And my sparrow will be there to see,

another great poet rise !

Hi Joyce Thanks for pitchin' in . Eva would love to hear that. I think i have memorized your dragonfly. Going back to Eva ..yes I advice you to read and savor some of her poems . You won't get disappointed. Thanks Joyce for your encouragement . Poetry is an uncharted territory for me . It wasn't even my passion for I have spent 18 years playing and mastering chess and I have to walk away ... It just happened that I stumbled into one of Eva's poem and I was hooked . I pray that i would be able to fly higher than I ever intended should I find favor in His eyes . Eva is phenomenal in her own rite.

So well done Neil and a grand tribute to a wonderful poet. Indeed we do soar, we fly above fading landscapes and barren shorelines, yet every so often a light, a glimmer of peace finds our eyes down below. Eva is that light my friend as is your poem.

Thanks Jack that you saw this piece which is a tribute to a very talented and budding new poet with whom you and I are well so acquainted - Eva Rosehill . I greatly admire all here poems . I have never seen the likes of here and correct me if I am wrong , she is breaking new grounds . We are only seeing the tip of the iceberg .
