A PERFECT STRANGER

A PERFECT STRANGER

A Poem by NeiL ArandA
"

Finding the invisible ...

"

A Perfect Stranger

We are two complete strangers

That found each other
When I first heard about You
I knew there was no other.

Searching for truth
I thought I'd never find
Then You came along
And my world was turned upside.

I was looking for a place
A place they called heaven
Don't know how to get there
But You know I have been tryin'.

I tried religion, I tried to be good
I tried everything !
But the path was too broad
Then I found that narrow road.

As I tread that long lonely route
There at the end, I saw You stood
I thought I'd never see the day
When two complete strangers, meet face to face.

My life was forever changed
I was never the same
I found something and I'm not ashamed
I won't exchange for riches nor fame.

My former friends thought
I had gone crazy
To claimed to have known You
When I am a nobody.

If to know You is wrong
Then I don't want to be right
If to follow You is foolish
Let them mock and say, I'm a fool than wise.

hmm this is beautiful.. I can see why you pointed me here to help guide me to the answer of my question. You have such strong conviction here.... to witness another spirit believe in their faith so whole heartedly is quite inspirational, for me. Wonderful work, Neil. Thank you for sharing this.

Your faith shines through in this piece and your relastionship with your God. In Islam every prayer we start with we say : " In the name of THE LORD , The Gacious, The Merciful...May God bless you and yours...
BTW: I can't comment on your poems that conficts with my belief or understanding of God and faith but I like to share the the ones that has universality in it like I do in my poems or I noticed all or most of your writes on Christanity( I respect that and I'm kind enough not to insult someone's belief for it is personal) .
I do have a personal relationship with God and everyone should but I will not follow Any faith blindly without real spiritual knowledge of The Divine and I reject all forms of paganism in Any faith if it exist in it.

I believe you have found Jesus, Neil, and no longer feel alone or crazy. Regardless of what people think, you have found the One who loves you for yourself and who makes you feel whole. I respect your faith and your writes about that faith a lot.

This one shows that to love is not that easy. You have to cross rivers and seas and mountains...to reach for your love.

Nice poem, Neil. Very remarkable. Keep it up!

You're welcome. Continue inspiring people with your words of faith...
A beautiful poem of finding love which can be challenging to find, just like that narrow road, for there are many pathways you can venture, yet finding the right one is a treasure to be cherished... "I'm a fool than wise." perfect ending...
