The doctrine of the Kingdom of Heaven, which was the main teaching of Jesus, is certainly one of the most revolutionary doctrines that ever stirred and changed the human thought. - H. G. Wells
THERE IS A PLACE
There's a place
where God resides
Eternal home of saints gone by Where angels sing that fly so high Where no more tears and deep long sigh.
There's a place where Jesus hides A perfect place beyond our sight A holy place of pure delight Righteousness and glorious light.
There's a heart that thirsts for God In a dry, parched and solitary land
Not a drop of rain nor morning dew
His desperate heart faints for You.
There's a soul that longs to see
A merciful Savior who sets him free
From mires of sin and misery Who paid it all at Calvary.
There's a sparrow who yearns to sing In his plight his hopes may bring Your secret place where he belongs Sing to You his brand new song.
There's a Man nailed on a tree ‘Gave His life for you and me A man of sorrow forsaken by many Proved His love to humanity.
There's hope beyond this life You are precious in His sight Avail His grace while still around Seek Him now while He is found
There's a love that holds no bound
His precious blood shed for us
Payment, for all the sins conceived
Will be yours if you just believe.
There's a time when He returns
Clock is ticking you should be concerned
Your souls destiny you must perceive
Don't be naive and eternally deceived.
There's a place of great Reproach
Where lost souls weep and had no hope
If you're saved you might not care
Abandon hope if you entered there.
There's a great heavenly reward For those who labor for the cause of Christ
Success in life is not about gaining more wealth, power, position nor prestige,
but rather seeking and finding the Lord Jesus Christ. ~ Charles Stanley
God greatest task is seeking us. His greatest desire is to find us. His greatest joy is loving us.

Neil, the poem is not so moving but I was so moved because of the goodness that I have seen from the heart of the poet here. After accepting your challenge, I go to the very last page of your writings and this is the last...that means this is the first that you posted here.
I have read in your review comment below that you have asked God when you wrote this piece. In my heart, this is it! This is the one that you are talking about.
I'm thankful with the author's note above. You really have more values shown in your every piece.
One question, Neil : are you a nurse, or a priest/preacher? Or are you an another angel in disguise for many people here?
Thank you for being an inspiration here, Neil.

Your poem is magnificent tribute to Jesus Christ and to all people, who never forget that their life is in hands of God, but they are devoted to Him...It`s easy to not believe or to abandon our faith. But it`s build in our nature and hearts to be part of God..Even so many people forget that, or they are blind for the light. We all have chance to pass the tests of this life - and we have the hand of God always. Just we have to remember our part. Very beautiful lines like a song!

Wow that was so awesome EileenMarie. Glad it touched your heart ...
There is a sparrow who yearns to sing
In his plight his hopes may bring
Your secret place where he belongs
Sing to You his brand new song.
My dear one, those lines, where you sing...
The song of love, and hope, are giving me goosebumps all over...
Such a beautiful poem full of love, living, the one you are in touch with,
I can only praise your gift, and may you inspire so many others, with this one.
Beautifully written love.

I been looking for . When good is good enough . I could not earn my salvation by being a good person . Then someone explained to me that we are saved by grace . This grace is agift from God through the sacrificial death of His Son on the cross . He took our place . The price has been paid and forgiveness to our sins is made available . But its not automatic . We have to make apersonal decision to ask and receive this free gift . Repent and turn away from our sins . And receive Christ we our personal Lord and Savior . Surrender our life to Him . It aonetime decision . Its the best decision you'll ever make . Please make your reservation . Door still open ...
'No man is an island' said the poet but it was whispered from the cross so many years ago when Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them .. ..' We come into the world with little but heart and spirit, perhaps, who knows, we're meant to leave it in the same way. Except.. except for the knowledge we learn and then, God willing, share, between the coming and going. In the main, your lovely words say as much.
Perhaps?

I enjoyed the affirmation of a loving God here.
The last stanza felt a little out if character with the body of this write. We live the reward by being in this "nest" of love.
Also, all have been redeemed... The sanctuary is given to all who accept this redemption. There is no "treasure" greater than knowing the heart of God. Period.
Maybe this was your intention, maybe not.
Anyhow, I enjoyed the tone, sentiment, and tenderness of your poetry.

Thanks David for this treat. I can tell that you're in depth with your faith. There's a difference between blessings and rewards. The rewards are dispense in the next life. We enjoy the blessings that God bestowed upon us in this life. If we belong to Him this is a sure thing. Knowing His character and nature however I'm not saying its all bed of roses and trial free life. The rewards will be in the after life when we stand before Christ and given an account to Him. I'm not referring to the Great White Throne judgement ( This is the Great Reproach ) but for those who have been born again. They will have rewards in heaven.
Not all have been redeemed. The redemptive price has been paid and available to all. Man being a free moral agent will to choose or whether to reject this gift of salvation. God's love to us is not forced. Its available but He is not forcing or shoving it down to our throat. He is too gentlemen and loving to do that. The choice is ultimately ours.
We don't experience the sanctuary when we die. We experience it when we become His child and became born again. To be truly honest ... the sanctuary is not really a place but a Person. We find the Person we find the sanctuary. and this sanctuary will live and commune with us. Its God Himself living and breathing inside that new person.
I appreciate your thoughts and insight David. Hope to know you more ...

I like the sentiment of this piece. Too many people spend their lives "gathering" in order to become more successful, when really what we should all be doing is "giving" more of ourselves and allowing the light of our own spirits and the spirits of others to fill us and make us whole. Nicely constructed writing.

I like how you worded the sanctuary as being "in Christ". This is a very powerful and accurate way to see this concept.
Maybe it is a thing of semantics. This being redeemed before we even understand the gift has always been available to all of the universe. True, each individual has free will to be in or out if this relationship. We see this point the same I think. I simply feel we will show love to others better if we believe they are as loved and as welcomed into the arms of their Savior as those who have already accepted His gift. "Good Christians" often feel superior to " sinners" in thought and actions. It is easy to see in human interaction. We, humanity in general, lack humility most I feel.
I have studied the judgement , white throne, sanctuary, my whole life. I have been blessed to be given the scriptures early in life. I have studied many philosophies and religions. Yet I have seen God most in nature and I have found His Spirit guides a mind seeking Truth...
Thank you for introducing yourself. I too look forward to getting to know you better.

When we realize how much we have been forgiven and how much we have been accepted. There should be no trace if not at all of any pride or feeling of superiority with anyone. When it comes to the cross of Christ the ground is leveled. That is why I always prefer and address a fellow saint and believer as " brother or sister " .. status quo and social status should never take precedence over our relationship with one another. I too am humbled by our Savior's attitude. Hence I grind this truthful down into my heart and mind. That I would always represent our Savior's character. Who knows I could be the only bible that the unbelievers could ever read. Its always easy to be a Christian. But to live it is the most difficult and most challenging part if you're not committed.
I'll be dropping by to check your pieces David. Lord willing sometime this evening. Please allow me to leave this passage from Scripture for our encouragement. Its a pleasure that we have cross path.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
