2/27/12A Poem by Mark DanielsShort poem about the Chardon High School Tragedy.
On top of a hill, in a little town
something horrible happened to go down. one deranged kid, on a mission to kill at the school in that town, on top of a hill. Now, his motives are unclear, we really want to know why this one deranged kid shot 1 girl, 4 guys. Now the city is still, soaked with student's screams. I wish it wouldn't have to haunt them in their dreams. The kid is locked up, after his murderous spree but unfortunately for us, God let three of them free. We're all sad and mourning, as the school is still shaken. sometimes i hate how it takes death for our hearts to awaken. But we are here for you Chardon, and i know it will be tough to move past from an event like this, was so rough so let's look to the future, with the losses in mind we can all get past this if we all pitch in and try. What happened that day, on that town atop a hill, for years, in our memories, it will stay there. And still we can't hold onto the bad forever. Cause if we let it linger too long, who will be healed? no one will.
