Orange

Orange

A Poem by TheLonelyArtist
"

I sat in my student accommodation in 1st year, looked out of the window and it was like I saw the moon for the first time. This night changed me and what I value most in this world.

"
So bright in the night sky,
Not the moon,
Caverns of light,
Bright and bold,
Burning bloody orange,
Not the sun,
But there,
Smoldering preconceptions,
Dark skies,
Should be dark,
With tiny welcoming stars,
Fleeting Light,
What are you?
This is not your place,
You do not belong,
Yet you fit,
Never been seen before,
Unique.
Comfortable.
Loved.
