You are walking around, trees surrounding you, and a path made from people who have worn it down for you. It's dark, all around you, nothing illuminating the path except the light of the full moon and the many stars above your head. It is quiet, nothing heard except for the sounds of crickets chirping and your own footsteps as you step on another branch through the forest. A kettle hole is little bit further. A few more steps, and you are there. You stop where you are and proceed to observe the pond. You notice the reflection of the moon, sitting in the middle of the pond as if it were underneath the water itself. The stars twinkled brightly in the water of the pond and, just like the moon, it looked as if you could dive in the water and collect them.
You sit down at the edge of the pond. You look onto the water and ponder. You ponder and ponder. You don't know what you are pondering about. You just ponder. You needed to just get out of the house that confines you and let yourself be free, just for a little bit. So it would not matter what you pondered about, so long as it prolonged your stay in nature.
A hoot is heard, so you turn to the source. An owl, it is, sitting on the branch. It opens its wings and flies toward you. Landing beside you, it opens its beak and speaks.
"Be one with the sky," it says. You look at it with a confused face as it speaks again. "Be one with the sky, to clear your mind. When you're with the stars, all will be clear."
The owl then took off. Will it be seen again, most likely not. You turn your head back to the pond. The stars twinkle so bright in the pond that one could confuse the pond for the night sky. The owl's words then echo in your head. You know what is to be done. You then stand, hovering above the pond, just before you jump in.
