Chapter 4. Torn Pages

A Chapter by Jytte
"

A lesson is to be taught. A tyranny is to be stopped. No longer can he rule as he does, it's time to brand him like the sheep he is.

"

“The ages of man have always been filled and fuelled by greed. Turning every man to a monster. A beast, non-alike those we swore to fight and suppress. For those to give in to temptation, is the ones to lose themselves to the greed of man. For power is none of thine manner, alas, a weakness we forever must treasure, treat with care, thine duty is not done, now rise and become the one. The one to remain”

As I stopped in front of the royal king sitting on his throne. His golden throne filled with dials of gems. Sitting in his red and white fur tunic, while wearing his infernal royal cape. I punched my sword first into the carpet floor. As it stood stuck, I put my hands around the handles while keeping a firm and strong position.

The time was ticking 10 seconds in silence until I opened my mouth and spoke “I found you”. He looked at me with a glare of confusion. He heard what I said, but he couldn’t make sense of it

“Who are you, if I may ask” he said, as he leaned forwards on his throne. I didn’t answer him, I just pulled my sword out of the floor and pointed the edge towards him. I started walked towards him. The closer I got, the more he leaned back into his throne. Revealing the growing fear within him.

I put the edge of my blade on his throat, leaned closely to his face and said, “I am the knight slayer, the one alone, the one to remain”. I made a cut in his throat as I removed my sword. Melody and the other wolves started howling as I walked out of the throne room, slowly stopping and following, wolf by wolf.

From this day forward, he is marked, marked with an undying mark, a mark by the wolf. He will forever be known as the coward above all. From this day forward, his throne will remain a target, a price, which he must fight for.

I sheathed my sword as I entered the Wolf’s Den. I removed my helmet and placed it on the stand. As I sat down on the throne, the wolves starting howling, sounding my return after a triumphed mission.
