Chapter 2. Evicted from Home

Chapter 2. Evicted from Home

A Chapter by Jytte
"

A journey across the land of which few would tend to go. A forest, a new place, a new home. Wonder what will be going on from this point on.

"

I knew my home was gone, the house that I lived in. I was a cast away, all because of my father. I don’t blame him, he couldn’t do anything to prevent it really. The darkness filled his soul with eternal power, feeding his greed and turning him over. My mother got scared, took me and ran away. We moved to the kingdom of light or at least, that’s what they called themselves. I didn’t really believe it. Well, now Melody and I, are on our way to find a new home, a new place to settle down. We’ve been walking for a couple of hours now. I don’t know where we are, and I don’t want to know, because this place looks perfect. It has everything we’ll be needing. A little lake to fish in or bathe in. A good big garden to play around or practice in. The house itself is also just perfect. I think I will name it, The Wolf’s Den.

The house is greyish, and close to fall apart, yet still standing. Build as a one floor house, it fits perfectly. The garden is right in front of the house and is huge. To get to the house, you must walk along this little bridge filled flowers. The house is on the ground, but on the edge of the water, and the lake is amazingly blue, with a beautiful scar of light from the sun. I settled my house here, I settled my home here, and made it my life goal, to keep this place, to live here. I started gathering wood, planks, leaves, whatever material I could use. I spend months, even years on rebuilding this house, this area, and the results were perfect. As the years went by, more wolves and animals came by, making their nests, dens and places. In this area, every animal was sacred. Melody and I were the rulers of this area, and every animal crossing or living in this area, knew, that here, were no eating, no fighting other animals within.

We spent years here, and my wolf pack has grown 4 times the size, instead of having just Melody. I’ve tamed and commended peace and trust with 16 wolves. Every wolf has their own unique armour and skills. Some wolves have spikes on their armour, fitting perfect for their wild and aggressive attacks. Others like Melody, have light armour, fitting their fast and energetic attacks.

Suddenly, Melody came to me with a paper. A paper with a drawing on, a drawing of a throne. With the title, king of the wolves. I thought I scrapped the idea. Alas, I was meant to become king, or so Melody thought.

I started recreating my armour, instead of a giant wolf head on the middle of the chest, I made it silver, with a glance of gold and put wolf heads as shoulder plates and created a helmet resembling a wolf. The eyes on the helmet are built to strike fear in the enemy, resembling a cold, heartless and dangerous wolf.

As I equipped the helmet, as the final piece of the armour and turned around. All the animals bowed down. Wolves, bears, horses, every single animal bowed down for me. As I stood there, an eagle landed on my shoulder. I was born on new, made from silver and turned into a diamond. I was nothing but an abandoned, exiled child, surviving on my own. Now I am a king, a god amongst my creatures. Time to take back what I was meant to inherent. The shadow has yet to meet my light. My power. Fighting to get out and bring forth the limitless strength of a thousand souls.
