The story telling Begins, listen now, as he will tell you a great tale, about the lay of the land.

Dawn, nothing but a memory in this fading world. Like a flower, growing old, again and again, in the garden of Ede. Nothing to do about it, for such is the way, such is the life. At one point you’re standing strong, living and enjoying but in the end, you’ll be fading away, fading to dust.

I’ve never been much for seeing the beauty of small quotes. I’ve never found them necessary, although, I could never stay away from firing one off. For the beauty lies within the meaning and not the words. My story is quite simple. My family got removed from the kingdom, since my father was the King of Old Yondor, the place now ruled by evil, with him in the lead. Even though my mother had nothing to do with my father turning to the darkness, we still got kicked out, because they feared that we would turn too. I don’t know which year it is; however, I know that it’s the second day of MurlMonth.

MurlMonth is the time of a year in which the four knights of light, will raise their swords to the heaven and bring forth the Old Light. The Old Light is also known as the sun but because our lands have been dimmed in darkness for the last ages, we’ve come to know it, as the Old Light. Despite being the brightest of all Months, it’s also the worst. Not only does the darkness attack, as we lower the magical shield protecting the kingdom from eternal dark but the dark lord himself reawakens during the battle, unless it goes quick enough. For the last few MurlMonths we’ve not had the trouble of awakening the Old One sleeping beneath the ground but this year, everyone fears him because this year, he is said to wake from his eternal slumber.

A little backstory about him would be to tell you about the years that he was the king of Highrule. Back then he was a king amongst other kings, but he befell to the greed and robbed the other kings of their crowns and power. Melting every crown into a new one, he gave himself the title “King Wolnir, Lord of Highrule”.

Now here I am, in the middle of the second day of MurlMonth. The light is shining from the sky and it’s beautiful and warm. I’ve got my Wolf Armor on, along with my trusty Dire Wolf companion called Melody.

Her fur is soft, thick and white. She is roughly the same size as me but a lot faster and stronger. I found her when she was just a pub, curled up by the corpse of her slain mother. I saved her from some bandits and in return, she led me to their cave and brought me the Wolf Armor and the legendary sword known as Wolf’s Bane.

My mother died last year, so the only ones living in the shed is Melody and me. We’re living about 20 kilometres away from the kingdom, so we’re a good part away. I’ve only seen the Knights of Light once in my entire life and I hope I’ll get to see them once again. I remember their armour being beautiful, snow white and strong, angelic looking. Although I do not recall any actual description of them. Well, I should go to bed now, since Melody has already fallen asleep, and I have nothing to do, no chores or anything to kill the time.
