The Steel

The Steel

A Poem by TheLastEclipse
"

Lately, I have been on an anti-violence kick.

"
Let us speak of ways to solve our problems.
If my words do not affect, a bullet to solve them.
I have always had a way of convincing a man
Show him the lifeless hunk of machinery in hand.

If he sees the fear of that lifeless objects
Can easily imbue, his spine will be erect
His eyes will eye me with a new respect.
Oh, but is it worth it?

What if he still refuses to pay tribute?
Should I pull the contraption’s hairline to shoot?
I will give him a fragment of this gun
So that he may remember who actually won.
