It's Really Not Too Late

It's Really Not Too Late

I can make things right!

So at night I still feel your breath, breathing down my neck...

So in the broad daylight I still see your eyes, in the beautiful shimmering sunlit leaves...

I have no excuse but to accept the fact that I actually miss you.

I have no use, I just feel like my only purpose was to regret leaving you.

And now apologizing to myself is all I do.

I jerk up the phone and dial your number in trepidation.

I then recall the panic we stored up over seasons.

It is the third day, of the second month I have been without you.

I guess I should have prayed a bit more, just to keep you.

Now your green eyes are some other man's emeralds and I still remain stuck,

Here a loner.

A breeze rolls in, the blue sky shoves my hair to the side and I realize I really needed those eyes.

So here we are again, for the whole world to witness.

I'm struck at odd's end, feeling your pale skin touch me once again.

The breath, it draws away, and as you pull away I feel that it is too late!

So I grip your arm and turn you back to me. We stare frozen momentarily,

I still see, the woman I fell ever so desperately in love with.

I still need, you by my side, and the true man will not hide, and I

Still hold so tight, to the memories at night.

I feel God's grace upon me, as I sit alone in the middle of the forest.

It is certainly living, the dwellings upon are indeed stirring.

The sounds of movement within the vast greenery.

I look to the west and what I see is the most beautiful shade of green.

Your emerald eyes, are peering straight into the blue of mine.

Here I come once more, struggling to buck up and strengthen all within.

Oh God make me a better man. I am a better man!

Love, take my hand and let us just walk out as one again! One Again!

I swear love it is not too late!

Let's take the tears and turn them into our diamond decorations.

                We'll lay by the sea,

It shall be just you and me.

We'll stare into the night sky,

"Oh sweet God... Thank you," I cry
