For Someone In AlabamaA Poem by TheLastEclipseJust a piece I did a few months ago about stereotypesYou think everyone down here is incest. It only takes one bad name to ruin the rest. We all down here are trying hard, To bring up the reputation that was brought down far. Some of us place stupid because we like the trick, Most of us are smarter than you think. Some of us are computer geeks. Some are meant to be rocket scientists who could save the world. Then you have me who only wants the girl. Just because I'm said to be idiotic, doesn't mean I can't handle nuerotics. Just keep what you think to yourself otherwise you can burn in hell. So what about those stereotypes, The south is my life, Just because I live here doesn't mean I'm a redneck, Are all girls in california s****y chicks? Just because I take pride in my place, doesn't mean I can't deck you in the face. I respect my state, Maybe it was fate that brought me here. It's all part of the same country, So insteady of a divided many why can't we be a 'we'? Love one another instead of starting stupid rumours. We are all one, so let's not take away all the fun, of being one unit, agreeing with one another, instead of saying ever southerner screws his mother
