Lego Girl

Lego Girl

A Poem by Blue Ivory

LEGO GIRL

What do they really know?

About me?

What do I really know?

About me?

In a desperate attempt to pick up my scattered pieces

I find my fingers, clutch my pearls

But they keep falling

Out of my hands

How can I hold them without palms?

I put my legs together and take a few steps

But my hips lay back and crave you

My head is in the clouds while my eyes keep aiming forwards

My back aches and begs to remain inclined

Falling apart in a strange land

Far away from home

Far away from time

Trying to keep the pieces together

But they keep wandering off

With strange men, strange people never to return

No idea where the core is

Who am I?

Which piece of me controls me?

Which piece of me does the talking?

Do I have no center?

Is life as I know it done for?

Your youth no matter your age shows through. However, it seems that's what you're trying to understand your boundaries. I imagine you have a very young soul to your heart it shows in your writing. Almost defining in how obvious it is then then emotionally painful to feel the way your wrote this. Not a pain such as agony but a heart felt problem. Really enjoyable to see the poem develop.

Enjoyed this ; the hard questions keep the verses at high speed and give this a central sadness; emotions fast and furious...

I love this poem. It speaks to me in a dream like quality that sometimes seems my reality. Excellent work!

"No idea where the core is

Which piece of me controls me?
Which piece of me does the talking?
Do I have no center?
Is life as I know it done for?"
I liked the above lines. Questions we shall ask often in a life. I believe we become what we support to be. Legos or pieces of puzzles. Life is where we need to be. Thank you dear Poet for sharing the amazing poetry.
