Thirst

Thirst

A Poem by Blue Ivory

Thirsty...
I'm thirsty...
Bubbles
I want bubbles
Of water
Yes the perfect sweetness
Not too cold
No that makes me numb
A little hot?
Yes that would be perfect
Tease my taste buds,
You, perfect warmth
Heating my tongue...
They've parched my throat,
Those rascals, in your absence
Paint me blue
Flood me please
Please, oh please, I beg you

This vow of a barren mouth
Is to prove my spirituality
Only a few more hours to go...

I just didn't mention it here cuz it's such a turn off! :P
A dry mouth sure can make you appreciate a simple glass of water... maybe if life were simplified again we could appreciate all we have. Excellent poem.

Ok this is pretty different from your other poems. I mean no one really makes these kind of easy-to-read poems anymore,so i really like it :)
you could try adding a nice picture of some soda though. :P
