Sandcastle

Sandcastle

A Poem by Neshy
"

Just thinking of home...

"

Sandcastle

You and me

Playing on the beach

Children as happy as can be

Build a sandcastle, one each

My castle was nice

Sturdy proud and tall

You built yours thrice

Each sure to fall

And here on the beach it is clear

As we grew up we grew apart

You look at me now and jeer

An unending pain, dagger to the heart

So I stay here with my sandcastles

And memories of you, I digress

I watch you receive your tassels

And hang upon your success

I know I'm morbid, but while reading this I kept thinking of death.
