Elysium

Elysium

A Poem by TheJosephAnthony
"

This was a poem that I have dedicated to my grandmother, Catherine Samoles. I've only known her for six years of my life, but those six years have brought me a calming force in my mind.

"

Streams of light descend within my scope

Over the ripples of Catherine’s inception,

Where chromatic voids pierce through altars,

For her rays transcend through eras of deception,

How her feathers continue to cleanse our fictions.

My mind glimpses towards the iridescent moon

For a gem dashes towards your wandering treasure,

‘Til the stars illuminate thy streams of feathers,

How I promise to shatter through Earth’s sphere

Oh the skylight allows us to escape to our dunes.

‘Tis the day where my mind’s kaleidoscope unveils,

Where all my praise to you sails towards the aquatic sky,

My virtuous eyes ruffle the feathers of your grail.

I glance towards the Sun and its lavender radiance,

How I witnessed you dancing across the mountainous haze.

Alas, I envision the days our spirits shall activate

Within the wings the gardens of our heavenly fates,

How the time for our previous encounters disintegrate.

Amidst thy holographic sphere of widowed gates

Lies the day we gallop through the Elysian Fields.
