A Poem by TheJordBaker

My eyes a heavy swell
and the sky a guilty grey;
quite the pathetic fallacy
for plagued as well.
A wish in vein and folly
to sink into a shell,
ashes and dust
and a patter like rain on grove
from the Earth which was crushed.
And I'm ten falls on
trying to breathe,
learning to stand,
kicking in oceans,
rubbing feeling into hands.
One taken, one ceded,
regifted and ten falls on.
