Star-WaitingA Poem by TheJordBaker
Star-waiting between desert hills;
at first dark distant suns blossom like spring daffodils. By morning light they wilt as if under first frost of Autumn or our footsteps on the silt when the cold swash runs. With open eyes I look for here, but find when closed it goes. Where there is no night or rippled moon-shone glare and even no day or light, I wish I could see you there. God knows if I could maybe I could be there for good. © 2019 TheJordBaker |
