![]() Untitled- Sometime 2017A Poem by TheJordBaker![]() This is a piece I free-wrote in a notepad a couple of years ago and have yet to share.![]()
My masque is blank
Sometimes it's black But it's never read. When the sun comes up, Sometimes, it rains Even in my head But God doesn't go there anymore. The wind, it blows, sometimes, A breeze spirals softly with the leaves And I want to feel moving too But the Devil has his arms around me And God doesn't hold me anymore. Angels fall, sometimes, They break. They whisper they're right in front of me 'Can you see my wings?' Only fires and ashes remain Because God doesn't catch them anymore. No. This world in my head Poems I've written And art I've said, Places gone And created God doesn't come here anymore. Can you see my eyes? Can you see my faith? God doesn't come here anymore. Can you see my scars? Can you see my pain? God doesn't come here anymore. Can you see the dark? Can you see the stars? God doesn't come here anymore. Can you see me now? God doesn't come here anymore. © 2019 TheJordBakerFeatured Review
