‘Skyline domes over, the Earth spins
round.
It always does. And I know that I’ll find out
the desert is escape. But in reality
as sure as I see that in front of me
sparrows' wings clip halos of lampposts-
WE BUILT
THIS LOVE ON STALWART STONE’.

The Turning Tides
(Jordan Baker- February 2013)
The twisting sands and the turning tides,
the delicate love and the splendid lives,
the effortless dreams on the close of eyes.
The colours of truth and valour of yours,
of heavens and seas and morning skies.
The stones of chance and stalwart rock,
the days of prospect which we look across,
the lights of fervor we shine and lock
into our souls as we cross the wasteland.
The fingers enlaced on a lasting walk.
The supple tastes and fine veneer
of your tender touch and placed so near
to the thirsty heart within my chest
which you’ve saved and I love you, dear.
