In Passing

In Passing

A Poem by The International

I am the leader of vast expanses

The purveyor of one-more-chances

The grey area between right and wrong

The entrancement of song

I am the advancement of great ideas

The U-turn in which reality veers

The awakening of dreamless sleep

The dreams which wonder reap

I am the optimist where beauty appears

The pessimist which enchantment fears

The keeper of your sorrows

The hope of greater tomorrows
