Unbroken

Unbroken

A Poem by Broken Spiral
"

A message from one of history's most misunderstood villains.

"
Falling, fleeting, outcast;
Down
Hurtling through star and cloud,
What once was white,
Now sun-crisped brown,
Black wing smite,
Gold eyes proud

You will never break me.

Desert sands,
So far away.
Chorus booming,
Voices raised.
Darkness looming,
Blood-soaked lands
Cursing now,
What once was praised

You will never break me.

Born a savior,
Son of Man,
Cradled By
The desert sand,
Fed Roman hate,
Ladled by
The grizzled hand,
Of mighty Caesar's
Legions

You will never break me.

Crucifixion,
Bloodied palms,
True predictions,
Empty psalms,
The clang of coin,
Thirty bits,
In death he's joined,
In Hell he sits,
Judas,
Son of Man.

You will never break me.

Again.

About
I'm a budding novelist with a few ideas floating around. Not entirely sure how to work them out the way I want them just yet, but I try my best to flex my literary muscles daily. I'm always hungry for.. more..
