For my DadA Poem by Jazz Newport GreenJust a poem to say thanks. Despite all my classic teenage stupidity, he's really awesome.
He stroked my face,
So I hid it. He reached my heart, So it I chose to cloak. He pierced my soul, So I sold it. He provoked my emotions, So I refused to feel them. He bettered my life, So I decided to take it. He reasoned with me not to, So I let him win. I opposed him when I need not, He stayed solid in his affection as a rock. I hated him when he only showed love, But love is what he never lost. My own course I chose to take, But he forgave my youthful mistakes. When I told him how much I hated him, He expressed his love for me. I needed him when I did not know it, What greater father could there be?
