She's beautiful in my eyesA Poem by Jazz Newport GreenI just started writing and this is what I came out with. It isn't really a poem it's more of words I felt like saying. : )
She's beautiful in my eyes
She lights up my whole world I think of her all day I ponder how great she is Her standards are so high Not a soul can match her reputation I look to her with anticipation too see what wise words she'll say today She's beautiful to me. Her innocence is pronounced Her intelligence supersedes her faults All who doubt at first gain reason to believe I'll tell about her day and night to all who will listen She's beautiful in my eyes. She does not think she's great She thinks she's unworthy, Of all the praise I give her, But she deserves that glory. I need her by my side I cannot live without her. She is one not a soul could despise. She is such a lovely one. She's beautiful in my eyes. Other's say she's just a girl They say her smile does not shine Her hair is not blond with pretty curls They say she is too fat Her skin too dark in complexion But to me my Love is perfect She is the meaning of perfection They say she has a strange laugh I say that might be true Not everyone has a laugh so sweet that even angels can sing to They say she is awkward and in society has no place I say society is awkward Her perfection is what society has defaced I think it is clear to see what I'm trying to say The girl is a lady A small piece of all things so divine It should come as no surprise when I say She is beautiful in my eyes. If any soul asked me to in a single word describe her I'd say the girl I love so dearly, The one in whom I take such pride, Who cannot see her true worth, Yes, this lovely girl Is Beautiful in my eyes
