A strange moonA Poem by Jazz Newport GreenI was just looking at the full moon tonight and I thought of this poem freelance style :)
The moon is a strange moon,
A strange moon you see. Some stars glow yellow, Some moons are blue, Some planets have shades of red, but the moon has no color at all. The moon is this way summer, spring. winter, and fall. The moon is a strange moon, A strange moon, you see- But,it is not so strange- not to you and me. You see, the moon has always been here Since the beginning of time, until time's very end. The moon: a faithful witness. The moon: a true friend. The moon is strange moon, A strange moon you see. But that's quite alright, for you and me. The moon shows it's beauty every day and it's untainted glory every single night. You see,our moon is a strange moon, A strange moon, you see, But that's quite alright for you and me. Every solemn night it feels our hearts and minds with it's beaut,y And I begin to think- maybe our colorless moon, So blank, without a color to spare- Maybe our moon is the way all things should be.No color should exist at all! But as I bask in the moon's imminent beauty Alas, my wild thoughts begin to slowly come back into logic's range And I conclude this: our moon is a quite a beauty,a beauty, yet, ever so strange.
