Save me the pain....

Save me the pain....

A Poem by Jazz Newport Green

Save me the pain...

Save me the pain,
Save me the hate.
I will die
And I can’t wait.
Words like bullets fly
As hope passes by.
I could cry,
But they'ed laugh
I could mourn,
I could die.
But I’d still have to face the others scorn.
I'd still have to face their childish lies.
They hate me,
They hate me and I want to know
Why?
Am I too good?
Am I too bad?
Am I child?
Should I be a man?
They hate me
And all I want to know is-
Why?
I'm different
I'm not like them, but so what?
I'm still me! Don't I have aright to be whoever I want to be?
Ignore me,
please scorn me,
ridicule me as well.
Hit me, punch me,
blasphemy, hate  me, condemn me to some firey hell
drown me in your contempt or better yet,
throw me in front of a train.
Whatever you do to me,
please, just save me the pain.

This is a very strong piece of writing, very deep. It does speak the truth of what alot of people feel. It can take courage for people to write this, good work!

Very powerful Janice. You are a natural. One suggestion to take it up a notch is metaphors. Instead of saying words like bullets fly, maybe try articulated bullets fly... Something like that. I absolutely loved it though.
