What They Call Love

What They Call Love

A Poem by Jazz Newport Green
"

A happy song I wrote with Frank Sinatra/RatPack in mind. It's not finished but I don't know how to finish it.If someone has idea/ better version, let me know-preferably a song writer! Thanx : )

"

(A man is raving to his girlfriend about a fantastic new thing called Love.)

We’ve got to have it,

we need it now, and once we get it we’ve got to show it

so you and I and the world will know it-

its called love!

It’s new, its used, and it don’t come cheap,

it means the world but to all its free,

it’s one of a kind, it’s oh-so-divine,

Baby we've got to get today!

Its new, its used, its locally grown,

and once you’ve got it you better make it your own

Others want it-oh baby we need it!,

they call it love and babe don’t ya  know, yes cant you see it?

 it’s the high time to feel its power oh so divine;

I have it for you and you show it to me"baby- it is called love!

It’s new, its used, it’s a gift from above,

its old, its shallow and deep as an abyss

Oh baby, what a chance you, baby, ought not miss!!!

A hug, a kiss, a swat on the hand,

a popular thing that’s in demand,

Its rare, its unique. it’s the only thing soo right for me!

We’ve got to have this gift from above!

oh when you buy the milk and eggs make sure you get

what they call Love!!!
