Interlude

Interlude

A Poem by Sibling
"

This was inspired by a London Grammar song of the same title and the one who put me on to it

"
You lit this new flame,
Now the fire burns again,
I feel the warmth in my soul.
You walk along this worn way,
Now the tires turn again,
I feel them start to roll.
I'm trying to stop them
And gain control but this goes
Beyond that -
You're trying too.
Too bad the pathos is irrational
And we're both destined to follow
Logic - we're led to the same direction.
I hope I find you there,
I hope you find me there -
The journey with no destination
Does not end...
As soon as you begin,
This immortal maze cannot be escaped.
But I don't want to go,
Anywhere without my anything.
I hope you stay for a little while longer
While we sing songs
of angst and depression.
"What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"
So our old broken hearts
Make a progression
That beats together
In an ecstatic melancholy
Of melody as we speak in London Grammar.

Interlude.
