When You're Not HereA Poem by Sibling...When someone's not around...
To tell the naked truth -
When you're not here I feel bare. In all honesty, Nights without you are cold And days without you are devoid of the gold Beams the Sun brings. I've grown addicted to your company, You are my habit. Without you I'm drawn to withdrawal symptoms I start to feel a perpetual sickness - Nausea. No one else understands - I want to get lost in your hands And find you within the grip of mine. I just want to hold you close, And not have to let go. I just want to forget Father Time And do the will of Mother Nature - She wants us to live. You are becoming my life, Or the few things within which are worthwhile, So without you, I breathe hollow sighs My heart beats empty sounds... Only you have the energy I need - Without you, I question being. What was I before you? Clearly less than what I am with you. What will I be after you? Possibly a floating soul or reincarnation I don't really know - it doesn't even matter, I see no end in sight. I see beyond forever, We're all alone...together But you're becoming a part of me. © 2014 SiblingAuthor's Note
