Friends of the Summer

Friends of the Summer

A Poem by Sibling
"

I'm a nature-lover too ... Sometimes...

"
Clear blue skies -
No cloud in sight.
The sea above brings breeze.
The bright filament brings heat
And immense white light.

The bulb that glows
Creates great shadows
Of shallow darkness.
Deep into the midst of day
The sizzle slays the lifeless object.

As lifeless as he seems,
His green hands graciously grab the gift.
His feet steadily rooted,
While he stretches his neck
In attempts to reach his friend.

He gets closer and closer
With each passing moment,
But with each passing day -
His friend sail across the sea
Until he passes away.

As Day dies,
The wind let's him wave
Adiuex to his friend
With hopes to see rain
When he is reborn again.
