A Poem To My Self

A Poem To My Self

A Poem by Sibling
"

Ego. Anti-Ego. AlterEgo.

"
Never could I write an ode to myself.
Never shall I fall into the pit of Ego trips.
When I see Myself in the mirror he mocks me.
He says he sees a mere shadow of himself,
Because I am but a peel of his fruitfulness,
A shallow puddle to the ocean posed as Me.
I am indeed Myself but he insists he is not me.
My mind hears him through my eye - I see Me.
And although my reflection lacks perfection,
Through introspection I realized I don't need it.
For in acceptance of 'ME', 'MYSELF' and 'I'...
My imperfections make me scenic.
We are all pretty pictures worth being seen,

You need your eyes examined. 'For in acceptance of 'ME' 'MYSELF' and 'I' ... My imperfections make me scenic.' Be careful or you'll turn into a narcissus. But there is nothing like self esteem to make one a successful writer. I like your self analysis and especially the line: 'My imperfections make me scenic.' You're better looking than me but I believe my imperfections make me more scenic than you. I'd like the Black Queen's view on this one. Shall we Skype or see her in person? Nice job; found it interesting.
