All is Fair In Love and War

All is Fair In Love and War

A Poem by Sibling
"

This is a random poem about something... I think.

"
"All is Fair in Love and War"
Could this really be true?
How can we find peace through chaos?
Who can find Love through Hate?
I can not understand this folly statement.
I can not fathom the fairness behind war.
I'm wary as I wonder if anything is Fair...
Peace has passed as past warriors prepare
To impale. I inhale their rage,
It reeks in the air. Simultaneously,
Deceit defeats Logic and Reason
Somewhere on the battlefield that is Love.
So now my face wears sad smiles
For Love and War bare Pain as their child.

I don't believe it. I never saw it that way in Viet Nam and history books don't seem to agree with the concept, though interesting, either. If you read about the Holocaust of WWII you won't find it for certain. I enjoyed your poem of and the wonderment of who dreamed up this farce. I particularly like the line: 'Peace has passed as past warriors prepare to impale. I inhale their rage. It reeks in the air, while simultaneously deceit defeats logic and reason on the battlefield that is love.' Great job.

Bright questions indeed CON I guess its the same phenomena of 'atheists' believing there's a Satan (which is kinda weird) its just that we see war. We live war. But we DREAM of Peaceful Existence #DoPE and feel love.

I guess All IS fair in love and war

how are we to be aware of war if we haven't felt the pleasures of peace...? How am i to see the light if darkness has never fell upon me...? Lol.. War is fair because if you want to win you must not lose. Isnt that fair enough..? Lol..nice poem indeed.

Some good thoughts there. I think the actually meaning of that 'all is fair in love and war' is 'anything goes' although I'm sure you knew that. Sorry for explaining the obvious. X)
