Childhood

Childhood

A Poem by The Glassface

Murphy's Law says that if it can go wrong it will

My father told me that I could never stand to him

What I choose

Choice

Choice to live

Live to choose

Did you know they want to drop a bomb on the death maker?

Fire begets fire after all

War begets famine

Plague calls out to death

And we do it all over again

Raised a child in the mountains

There's less pain there

The child fell from up high

No one lives up top anymore

When I was born

The good doctor told me to fly

When I was little

The good television told me I could

When I was small

The good people told me to believe

When I was a little larger

I realized I'd been deceived
