Joyous Momentum

Joyous Momentum

A Poem by The Glassface

Crisp and cool

With the misty rain

A little walk

From a sideways rain

Collected thoughts broken into my mind

I can't seem to escape a reason

Without a triad of the sublime

I just don't see how it's our season

Can't believe all the panic attacks

when you told me to leave

I walked backwards and then picked up my tracks

I starred in the funeral and smiled at the bereaved

Preachers sing and the shepard rings a bell

Guides an apple orchard flock

Ice melting faster with a furnace from hell

Ceremonial bantering from the last ticks of the clock

Flash fire depression makes up the seconds of my day

When the raven calls, awaken from nightmare

To call further into night and escape from the day

Way of the beast in a sight too short I fear from despair

Winds howl in a frozen plain

With an enchanted evening sung by a fool

Milestone pathways

In forgotten lanes

This reads like a dream sequence. The inner workings of a mind in despair. I loved the imagery. I could just about feel the cold rain on my face. Well done.

This has so many good lines that seem to contradict..
Smiling at a funeral, walking backwards, panic attacks .. actually only the smiling and backwards walking contradicts...not our season.. this is a very good line.. the poem is wonderful, even sublime..
