RoSto

RoSto

A Poem by The Glassface

There’s a lasting peace that can fade from time

It’s simple, sweet and pure

Like the windswept heath, I roll ever forward

and I just hit your front door

Let me in lil’ mama

I’m not here to make a sale

I’ve been traveling onwards, searching for purpose

I been through heaven,

I been through hell

They telling me lies, right? They shoo me away

I ain’t a bad man, just made one mistake

So where does the justice end on your line?

Is it the 6:10 to the station of lies?

‘Cause I’m not through beating this door down

I’m barreling through a wall

I put all my fear into anger

and I channel that sadness into havin’ a ball

Sweet agony’s in me, making me out to a brave ol’ soul

If nothing is left but onward

How far you think you gonna go?

Calling out your name seems to make the terror go away

Isn’t that what they made god up for?

New tactics for the newest day

Everyone needs someone, but I just feel weaker this way

Relying on you to be in my play
