ReSwo

A Poem by The Glassface

I’m in a window, looking on the Rhine

I’ve been here once, not in a very long time

     They said to wake up

Take the past and change it today

     Who are they

     To take it away

Falling skies sing out relief

From the telling mouths and the barrier reef

Hold on to the miracle, hold on to the dream

Anything here can be what it seems

It’s a matter of want, to get past the grassy green

Omnivores clean the herbivores

for the carnivorous roar

Check out, aisle clean

from the robbery store

Dismantle lies and bring it on back

Mark it down, pen and paper

      pick up the slack

Hack job milking the government praise

Million dollar baby, died of malaise

Hindenburg burning, sky full of ash

Destruction’s the name, nickname’s cash

Mad money making the militant rounds

Lead slug fired into the face of the clowns

Quiet on set while the blaster rocks

Booming out sound to the invisible cops

Leaders counting pieces from the top of the heap

Milkman bombing deep in his sleep

When you manage to wake, take a faithful leap
