Dead Or Alive

Dead Or Alive

A Poem by The Glassface

Dead or Alive
I want, I'm wanted, I love it
Can't make a jest about the perpetual slave.
Working furiously, engaged in the sentiment gaze.
Never see a silk, smooth reward,
That miracle of fame.
Why do I reach this high
just to hear my name?

Dead or Alive
I'm wanted, I love it
I'll never see an amount that's enough of it
My oh lord, whatever did you need
They say the little boy got a head full of hopes and dreams
I say it's, necessary critical needs

When did we say enough was all?
We reached the heavens and let our brightest stars fall
Cross a hand to a color, she'll have created Eden
Whisper wire strings, he'll conjure lucid, vivid scenes
Don't you understand those demons feed him?

Tripping on a line, east end of day
Dance to the rhythm
Manage whatever fills your curiosity
Stage's alive
Casting call from high atop babel
Can't burn this bright, so strong
A roaring beacon, flares swallow a world
Full steam ahead
Face first to a wall
Shrapnel cancer from a kerosene kiss

Dead or alive
Still a way to go, credits roll, end of the show
I'm wanted
I want it.
I love it.
