Dreamers

Dreamers

A Poem by The Glassface

Awake I lie to myself on the coming day
I wait patiently for an arrival
A cosmic explosion flies overhead
The most wondrous symphony
Undecipherable riddles

I just want to bring a fire to a people
To be gifted a due and a chariot on high
Spread a blanket, dreamer of night
I've a secret to steal from beneath your guise
Incredible how immortals leave granted lives

Behold, mystic cousins
Look at them struggle
Crying for a life they'll see in a vision
Grasping the straw that broke the camel's back
Hands bound tight by lasting, ill given praise
Who will glean from the watches ashes
When our watchmakers float away into the past

Leave them,
be still sister
They have what they will
I never claim law or diffident rule
I've exhausted the options
ruled out the cause
A beast harks out and reveals a gaping maw

So the land of dreams rests away
Wooden Bridges
marked and saved, stored away
Fiery daze

This poem is so interesting. As if being spoken by the master of the Universe.
Mortals taking things for granted... as usually is the case.
This is very thought provoking for me .. a cosmic ride.
