Ride The Lightning

Ride The Lightning

A Poem by The Glassface

I've passed this rough skinned neighbor before
I'm certain I have witnessed the bloom of your rising wisdom
I've locked in so long I can't recall your mesmeric face

Run, run, run. I must escape, into the realm beyond
I've got to get out of these laboratory walls
Gray skinned, oozing
Run, run, run.

This dirt clings
What are these marching bites
This love eats me alive from inside
Minstrels dance to the intestinal dance
Blue eyed mistress' song
Lets me escape, curious trance
Rhythmic drums beat out my inner jungle romance
Now cry unto the creature
Roaring bestial vigils piercing like a lance

Same old tricks got me here
My heart stretches my throat
Screams become wails
Bash my head into a wall and I'll pass trough once
I've used every last one of you
Children of nightmares, fueled by anti semantic law
I'll break down heaven, I'll obliterate hell
I'm no angel of mercy, I've no angle to sell

How many time have I laid jewels at your feet
The air smells of sweet lavender here
Discreetly walk
I time loop into a celestial passing
I outrun death itself
I'm a reckoning wall with a call of the master
The lands themselves pay me triumph
If they fall, I will allow myself freedom
I am all that is in the endless
Nothing, ever lies static within me
For I have become the beginning and the end
I am a twister of echoes
I can't remember my own name
I can tell you the end

Why you feel the mocking face sings like the bird
I shall never understand
I feel a disgrace to your breath

Break my head and allow a fountain of hypnotizing mosaics to rain
A rainbow massacre from the depths of the brain
All the walls bleed daily
But the carpets never stain
I couldn't feel the blame
without a bloody wound
and a gun with a name
Faulty power leads to the essences of lost pain

Let them dance with the contours of the very fabric
Feast on the souls of eternal leadership
Can't break against the mythos, so create anew and reinvent the race
Fight on against an encroaching tide
Rise on, increased adaptation in an increasingly small rabbit hole

You can take it
Have everything
I want to leave
I never asked to swim against the current
Live out a day with a devil's guide
Shaman rides the lightning
Fire an arrow and see where it lands
Someone died there
