Lie as You Lay

Lie as You Lay

A Poem by The Glassface

I lead a double led life
with a care free grin, betray the blind
On a soul swapped life, I'm in the clouds
I'm too high to bring me down
Scored a bit of lovin' scratch me round
She's not the girl I thought I found

I aimed for a brown, I hit red on blue
All I want is to say I'm through
Crashed too hard, fell too fast
Sure I got time, but not for this jazz
We all gotta part, she in the past
Besides it was her friend I wanted for the blast

Can't believe how I never manned up
Second time's a charm, till you really f**k up
At least I got time, clicking away
I got a road, walk it to the end of day
Blowing with the wind, wherever it may
Until I find a reason, that'll make me stay

Pale lit skin on with Indian grace
Jet ink hair slides down her face
Leaving an idol's beauty, in it's wake
Slender wicked arms match lucid legs
Give a world for a chance just to beg
For one night to rest with her by my head
After passion stirred screams, wake the dead
